Is 1,5-Pentanediol vegan?

1,5-Pentanediol is an organic diol with the formula HO(CH2)5OH, produced synthetically. It is a viscous, colorless liquid used as a plasticizer, humectant and solvent, and as a building block for polyesters used in emulsifiers and resin intermediates.
