2-[(4-Amino-2-nitrophenyl)amino]benzoic acid is a synthetic nitroaromatic amino acid derivative formerly used as a colorant in hair and eyelash dye products; its use in the EU has been banned since 2021/2022.

Also known as 2-[(4-Amino-2-nitrophenyl)-amino]-benzoic acid (*) when used as a substance in hair and eyelash dye products. (*) From 3 September 2021 hair and eyelash dye products containing those substances shall not be placed on the Union market. From 3 June 2022 hair and eyelash dye products containing those substances shall not be made available on the Union market.
