Is Acetylated Glycol Stearate vegan?

Acetylated Glycol Stearate is the acetyl ester of glycol stearate, formed from ethylene glycol and stearic acid, used as an emollient and opacifying agent in cosmetics. Stearic acid may be derived from plant or animal sources.
