This ingredient is a filtrate obtained by fermenting royal jelly with the microorganisms Brettanomyces bruxellensis, Komagataeibacter xylinus, Schizosaccharomyces pombe, and Zygosaccharomyces rouxii. Because it contains royal jelly, a substance produced by honeybees, it is not considered vegan though it does not require killing the bees.
