Butylphenyl Methylpropional (Lilial) is a synthetic aromatic aldehyde fragrance ingredient, also occurring naturally in some plants such as crow-dipper and tomato; it was banned for use in cosmetics in the EU in 2022 due to reproductive toxicity concerns.
