L-cysteine hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt of L-cysteine, produced from L-cysteine by reaction with hydrochloric acid. It shares the same origins as L-cysteine (animal hair/feathers or synthetic) and is used as a dough conditioner and in pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications.
