Is Ethyl Eosin vegan?

Ethyl Eosin is a synthetic fluorescent xanthene dye, the ethyl ester analogue of Eosin Y. It is alcohol-soluble (unlike the water-soluble Eosin Y) and is used as a biological stain and colourant.
