Kojic Acid is also known as Kojic Acid.

Kojic Acid is an organic compound derived from 4-pyrone, produced naturally by several species of fungi, notably Aspergillus oryzae, during the fermentation of rice used in sake production. It acts as a chelating agent and mild inhibitor of pigment (melanin) formation, and is widely used in cosmetics as a skin-lightening agent.
