Is Lanosterol vegan?
Lanosterol
Unconfirmed
Lanosterol is a tetracyclic triterpenoid sterol from which all animal and fungal steroids are derived. It was first isolated from lanolin (sheep's wool grease) and is also found in fungi and some plants. It can be obtained from lanolin or produced by fungi/yeast, so its vegan status depends on the source.
