Is Magnesium vegan?

Magnesium is a chemical element with symbol Mg and atomic number 12. It is a shiny, low-density alkaline earth metal that occurs naturally only in combination with other elements, most commonly as salts in seawater and mineral deposits. In cosmetics and materials, magnesium compounds are used as abrasives, anti-caking agents, and pH adjusters.
