Is Metanil Yellow vegan?

Metanil Yellow is a synthetic azo dye used as a pH indicator, changing colour from red to yellow between pH 1.2 and 3.2. It is also used as a textile dye and in analytical chemistry. It is also known as Tropaeolin G and Acid Yellow 36.
