Methyl Orange is a synthetic azo dye widely used as a pH indicator in titrations, showing red colour in acidic media and yellow in basic media, with a colour change range of approximately pH 3.1–4.4. It is particularly useful in titrations of strong acids in weak bases and has a sharp, distinct endpoint.
