Is Mussel vegan?

Mussels are bivalve molluscs belonging to several families, found in both saltwater and freshwater habitats and widely consumed as seafood. They are of animal origin and are therefore neither vegan nor vegetarian.

Classifications are made to the best of our knowledge based on available scientific and regulatory sources.
