Vegan

Nutritional yeast is a food product consisting of deactivated yeast (typically Saccharomyces cerevisiae) grown through fermentation. It is sold as yellow powder or flakes and used as a condiment or dietary supplement, valued for its umami flavour and B-vitamin content. Most products are vegan, though some brands may add animal-derived ingredients such as whey.
