Is Remazol Brilliant Blue R vegan?

Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) is a synthetic anthraquinone reactive dye used extensively in the textile industry. It is resistant to rapid degradation in wastewater; however, research has shown that certain microorganisms can biologically degrade it.
