Sharks are cartilaginous marine fish of the division Selachii, and ingredients derived from shark flesh, liver oil, fins, or other tissues are used in cosmetics (e.g. squalene from shark liver oil) and food products. All shark-derived ingredients are not vegan or vegetarian.
