Is Thioflavine S vegan?

Thioflavine S is a fluorescent dye used in histology staining and biophysical studies of protein aggregation, particularly for detecting amyloid deposits. It belongs to the thioflavin family of dyes along with Thioflavine T. It is a synthetic organic dye.
