Is Waxed Paper vegan?

Waxed paper is a moisture-resistant paper coated with wax, typically paraffin wax (petroleum-derived) or sometimes beeswax (insect-derived). It is used as a food packaging and release material. The origin varies depending on the type of wax applied.
