Is Wool vegan?

Wool is the natural protein fibre forming the fleecy coat of domesticated sheep and similar animals such as alpacas and goats. It is shorn from the animals and processed into textiles, yarn, and felt. It is exclusively of vertebrate animal origin.

Classifications are made to the best of our knowledge based on available scientific and regulatory sources. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of every entry, errors in the sources we draw from can always occur.
