Is 1-Vinylimidazole vegan?

1-Vinylimidazole is a synthetic, water-soluble basic monomer used to form quaternizable homopolymers via free-radical polymerization with vinyl and acrylic monomers; the resulting copolymers are used as oil field chemicals, cosmetic auxiliaries, and reactive diluents in UV lacquers, inks, and adhesives.
