Is Acetylated Lanolin vegan?

Acetylated Lanolin is the acetyl ester of lanolin, produced by reacting lanolin (wool fat from sheep) with acetic acid. It is used as an emollient to soften skin, but as an animal-derived material it is not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
