Is Alanine vegan?

Alanine (α-alanine) is a non-polar, aliphatic α-amino acid used in the biosynthesis of proteins in all living organisms. It is found widely in both plant and animal sources and can also be produced synthetically or via fermentation, making its origin in cosmetic or food products variable.
