Is Alcloxa vegan?

Alcloxa is an aluminium chlorohydroxy allantoinate complex used in cosmetics primarily as an astringent and antiperspirant active. Allantoin, its key component, is found in many plants (e.g. comfrey) and is also a metabolic intermediate in most animals, traditionally sourced from uric acid of mammals; it can also be produced synthetically. Its origin therefore may be animal-derived or synthetic.
