Alpha-Viniferin is a naturally occurring stilbene trimer found in plants such as Caragana chamlagu, Caragana sinica, Dryobalanops aromatica, and grapevines (Vitis vinifera and Vitis riparia), where it plays a role in disease resistance; it has also been shown to inhibit acetylcholinesterase.
