Is Chrysophanol vegan?

Chrysophanol (chrysophanic acid) is a natural anthraquinone pigment found widely in plants such as rhubarb (Rheum spp.), Aloe spp., Senna spp., and various fungi. It has reported antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and laxative properties and is used as a natural yellow dye (Natural Yellow 23).
