Cyclodextrin is a cyclic oligosaccharide composed of glucose units joined by α-1,4 glycosidic bonds, produced from starch via enzymatic conversion. It is used in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals as a solubilizer and odor/complexing agent.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
