2,6-Dichlorophenolindophenol (DCPIP) is a synthetic chemical compound used as a redox indicator dye. When oxidised it is blue with maximum absorption at 600 nm; when reduced it becomes colourless. It is commonly used in biochemical assays, including the measurement of vitamin C.
