Is Eckol vegan?

Eckol is a phlorotannin compound isolated from brown algae, particularly species in the genus Ecklonia (such as E. cava, E. kurome) and Eisenia (such as Eisenia bicyclis).

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
