Is Estrogens vegan?

Estrogens are a category of steroid sex hormones responsible for development and regulation of the female reproductive system, including estrone, estradiol, estriol, and estetrol. In cosmetic or pharmaceutical use they may be derived from animal sources (e.g. pregnant mare urine) or produced synthetically.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
