Ethyl β-apo-8′-carotenoate (Food Orange 7) is the ethyl ester of beta-apo-8′-carotenic acid, a carotenoid with an orange-red colour. It occurs in small quantities in some plants but is commercially produced from apocarotenal; it has been used as a food colourant (E160f), though it was delisted in the EU in 2011.
