Not Vegan

Feathers are the epidermal appendages of birds, composed primarily of the protein keratin. They are obtained mainly as a by-product of poultry slaughter (chickens, ducks, geese) or plucked from live birds, and are used in textiles, fashion, and occasionally in cosmetic raw materials (e.g. hydrolysed feather keratin).
