Is Glucomannan vegetarian?

Glucomannan is a water-soluble polysaccharide and dietary fiber composed of mannose with glucose side chains. It is a hemicellulose found in the cell walls of certain plants, such as konjac, and is used as a food additive, emulsifier and thickener.

An ingredient is considered vegetarian if it avoids components derived from killing an animal.
