Is Myricyl Alcohol vegan?

Myricyl Alcohol, also known as 1-triacontanol or melissyl alcohol, is a long-chain fatty alcohol found in plant cuticle waxes and in beeswax. Commercially it can be produced synthetically or extracted from plant waxes, and it is used in cosmetics as an emollient and plant growth stimulant in agriculture.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
