Is Oxystearin vegetarian?

Oxystearin

Oxystearin is a mixture of glycerides produced by oxidizing partially hydrogenated soybean oil (or similar fats/oils), used as an antioxidant and sequestrant in food. Its fatty source can be plant or animal derived, so origin is not always confirmed. It is approved in the US (INS 387) but not currently listed as an EU-approved additive under that number.
