Is Para Red vegan?

Para Red is a synthetic azo dye discovered in 1880 by von Gallois and Ullrich. It dyes cellulose fabrics a brilliant red colour but is not highly wash-fast. It is chemically similar to Sudan I and is also known as Paranitraniline Red or Pigment Red 1.
