Platinum is a dense, malleable, and highly unreactive precious metallic element (symbol Pt, atomic number 78), used in cosmetics as a colorant and in trace amounts in some skincare formulations.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
