Polyurethane-90 is a synthetic urethane polymer made in a multi-step process combining hexanediol, methylpentanediol, and diethyl carbonate into a polyester, which is then reacted with neopentyl glycol and isophorone diisocyanate; the resulting polymer is capped with HEMA. It is used as a film-forming agent in cosmetics, such as nail products.
