Polyurethane-96 is a synthetic urethane polymer formed by reacting a polymeric diol composed of hexanediol and 1,5-pentanediol condensed with ethylene carbonate, with isophorone diisocyanate; the resulting polymer is capped with 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate. It is used as a film-forming agent in cosmetics.
