Is Rayon vegan?

Rayon, also called viscose, is a semi-synthetic fibre made from regenerated cellulose derived from wood pulp or related plant sources, produced by treating cellulose with caustic soda and carbon disulfide before extrusion into an acid bath.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
