rh-Rice Extract is an extract of rice (Oryza sativa) produced through transient expression or transgenesis, in which a human gene coding for Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1 is inserted into the plant to produce a recombinant human protein. As it is plant-derived, it is considered vegan.
