s-Tertiapin SP is a synthetically produced single-chain protein identical to Tertiapin, a presynaptic neurotoxin originally isolated from the venom of the honeybee, Apis mellifera. It consists of 21 amino acids and may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation, and is used in cosmetics for its purported effects on skin muscle contraction.
