Is Sperm Oil vegan?

Sperm Oil is a pale yellow, waxy oil obtained from the head cavities of the sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) and related whale species. It was historically used as a lubricant and in cosmetics but its use is now largely prohibited due to international whale protection regulations.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
