Is Sudan Black B vegan?

Sudan Black B, also known as Solvent Black 3 or Fat Black HB, is a synthetic diazo azo dye used in histology to stain neutral triglycerides and lipids in frozen sections and some lipoproteins in paraffin sections. It appears as a dark brown to black powder and stains blue-black.
