Is Taurine vegan?
Taurine
Taurine is a naturally occurring amino sulfonic acid widely distributed in mammalian tissues, particularly in bile, and also found in some plants and fungi. Although it was historically obtained from animal sources (ox bile), commercial taurine used in food and supplements is now predominantly produced by chemical synthesis, making synthetic taurine vegan, though the source should be verified.
