Is Adipic Acid vegan?

Adipic Acid is a dicarboxylic acid (hexanedioic acid) produced primarily by chemical synthesis from cyclohexane derivatives, used as an acidulant, flavouring agent, and buffering agent in food and cosmetic formulations.
