This synthetic urethane polymer is made by condensing 3-methyl-1,5-pentanediol and adipic acid into a prepolymer, reacting it with isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), and end-capping with hydroxypropyl methacrylate (HPMA). It is used in cosmetics as a film-forming agent.
