This is a filtrate obtained by fermenting sucrose together with the leaves of Camellia sinensis (tea plant) and Acmella oleracea (toothache plant) using a combined culture of microorganisms including Brettanomyces, Gluconobacter, Kluyveromyces, Lactobacillus, Pichia, Saccharomyces, Komagataeibacter xylinus, and Zygosaccharomyces. It is used in cosmetics as a fermentation-derived plant extract, similar in concept to a kombucha-style ferment filtrate.
