Choleth-10 is a polyethylene glycol ether of cholesterol, formed by ethoxylation of cholesterol with an average of 10 moles of ethylene oxide. Cholesterol used is typically derived from animal sources (e.g. wool grease/lanolin) or can be plant/synthetically derived, but conventionally is animal-sourced.
