Is Distillates (coal tar), pitch vegan?

Coal tar pitch distillates are complex mixtures obtained by the distillation of coal tar pitch, a byproduct of coke production, historically used as preservatives, antiseptics, and in industrial applications. They are derived from fossil fuel processing and not from animal sources.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
