This is a coal tar distillate fraction, fluorene-free, obtained during the processing of coal tar; it is classified as a substance of concern when containing more than 0.005% w/w benzo[a]pyrene. It is a fossil-derived industrial substance, not used in cosmetics.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
